When Mercer was founded more than 30 years ago, they began as a small industrial company. Today, they are a third generation business with two different product ranges, abrasives and cutlery. This item is an 11" slicer with a wavy edge. The serrated edge is ideal for cutting soft products with hard crust or tough skin. The construction is different from the other items in the line because it is a one-piece stamped blade, not a forged blade. This slicer is part of Mercer's Renaissance line. It is constructed from high carbon stain free German steel. The handles are ergonomic, so they are easy and comfortable to use for long periods of time and are made from hard polyoxymethylene. This item is NSF certified and comes with a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects.
