This food plane is constructed of heavy-duty 18/8 stainless steel with blades resistant to corrosion and pitting. The acid etched edges stay sharp longer than other blades. The handle is made from durable polypropylene with a slip-resistant handle. The Mercer M35401 includes a snap on cover for safety during storage.
